Events and Fundraising Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
LOCATION: | The Merchant’s House Office, 132 High Street, Marlborough |
HOURS: | The post is 3 days / 24 hours pw. Due to the nature of this position, the successful candidate will be expected to work outside of contracted hours to support events. |
There are four key parts to the post:
- Develop ideas, produce supporting materials and promote fundraising events
- Actively seek external funding opportunities and support the trustees in planning and undertaking fundraising activities
- Develop and manage group bookings to The Merchant’s House
- Assist the Trust Manager on a range of operational issues
The successful candidate’s duties will include:
- Producing and implementing an annual programme of events in agreement with the Operational Committee, some of which may be via Zoom or online
- Manage and keeps records of bookings, ticket distribution and income generated
- Attend all relevant meetings and produce minutes
- Design events material for promotion internally and externally and seeking sponsorship where applicable
- Coordinating all aspects of events and agreeing volunteers to assist with each event
- Managing The Merchant’s House website and updating regularly with events and other news items.
- Managing and updating The Merchant’s House social media presence
- Produce 3 Volunteer / Friends newsletters per year
The successful candidate will also need to be flexible and able to undertake other duties as necessary.
