About the concert
GreenMatthews present a special programme of music from the time of Shakespeare. Originally created for The Rose Playhouse in London (Shakespeare’s original theatre) and performed on period instruments, the 60-minute concert is a vibrant and vivid soundscape of the world of our greatest dramatist. There will also be a question and answer session at the end of the concert.

About GreenMatthews
Using a beguiling blend of ancient instruments such as cittern, English border bagpipes and shawm as well as modern folk instruments such as guitar, flute and piano accordion, Chris Green and Sophie Matthews breathe new life into material from hundreds of years ago, making it fresh, relevant and accessible for a modern audience.

Sophie Matthews is well know to the Merchant's House for her recent online presentation of "Music in Art" which was extremely well received.
