The Jazz Festival's administrative home was the Merchant's House and now we have great pleasure in bringing you a Jazz quartet from our atmospheric Panelled Room. Enjoy the delights of Swing, Modern Jazz in this historic venue.

Denny Ilett is one of the UK’s foremost guitarist and vocalist. He is at home playing all genres of Jazz and Rock, Blues, Soul and Funk. Denny has toured and recorded with leading artist in the UK and abroad, and has headlined at Ronnie Scott’s in London and the Cheltenham Jazz Festival. He is the coordinator of the Bristol Jazz and Blues Festival. More recently, his ‘Electric Lady Big Band’ project, celebrating the music of Jimi Hendrix in a Jazz big band setting, received critical acclaim.

His performance for this show will include music from Jazz legends such as Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and Wes Montgomery, as well as Bossa Nova, Blues and Soul Classics. He will be joined by guitarist Chris Cobbson, bassist Chris Jones and drummer Ed Puddick.

Refreshments will be available to enjoy along with this unique opportunity to listen to Jazz in a truly memorable venue.
